Main Objective Aim of the Best practice
District Collector, Khammam initiated a program (Chinnari- Chinnarulatho Muchattlu) to educate school children about seven modules i.e.
- Child Marriages
- Safe touch/unsafe touch
- Child trafficking
- Drug abuse
- Internet abuse
- Body changes
- Sexual abuse
and additionally personal safety, hygiene, mental health and their rights under child protection laws. The campaign aims to build aware of those topics and build confidence, promote safe practice in school environment and remember of Child Helpline Number-1098.

Plans for expansion
- Chinnari (Chinnarulatho Muchattlu) Successfully Completed in 11 mandals and Scale the program to remaining 10 mandal in two phases.
- Partner with Education Dept., Medical Dept., for training modules.
- awareness to parents during School Management committee.
- Provide Complaint box in each and every school to address the issues in a school.

Asifa’s story is a testament to the impact of the Chinnari Awareness Program.
She was a school dropout and on the day “Chinnari” awareness session in the school, she visited her school to collect her 8th grade completion certificate, but what she got awareness through the Chinnari Program, which focuses on educating children about critical issues like child marriage, safe touch, unsafe touch, trafficking, drug abuse, and internet safety.
The Chinnari Awareness sessions inspired something in her and Asifa realized that her potential was much greater than she had imagined. With a new found determination, she set her goal on becoming a doctor. The Chinnari Program changed her mindset to empowering her to pursue her aspirations.

- Health Department (MLHP): Provides information on health issues related to child marriage and drug abuse.
- Science Teachers: Offers basic information about body changes during adolescence.
- WCD & SC Department team (DCPU/DHEW/CHL/SAKHI): Shares Child Helpline details, child rights legal information, and modules on critical issues like child marriages, safe touch/unsafe touch, child trafficking, and internet abuse.

- Time constraints in the school Calendars
- Less transport facilities in rural remote school areas
- Some schools were hesitate to talk about sensitive topic like abuse.
- Need More co-operation from private schools as they are not allowing teams to conduct Chinnari programme mentioning that it will cause academic disturbance
